This piece is part of Polar Sounds, a unique project that brought together musicians and sound artists from around the world to re-imagine some of the little-heard sounds of the Arctic and Antarctic regions, inviting reflection on climate change and the evolving sounds of polar seascapes to provide alternative perspectives on scientific data. Polar Sounds is a collaboration between Cities and Memory, the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity (HIFMB) and the Alfred Wegener Institute, Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research.
